Xp is the stuff needed to reach higher levels and unlock stuff like certain accessories.

You can get xp from the following:

10 XP every minute you spend in Play, Build and Avatar Edit mode
100 XP the first minute playing a new game
50 XP for every Like on your game
200 XP for every item sold
