Hello, KoGaMians!

The snow has mostly thawed and winter is soon coming to an end (at least for us in the northern hemisphere), so let’s send it off with a speedrun competition!

The competition:

This competition has been in the minds of many players (and maybe even you) for a while now, so naturally, it would be kind of us to carry it out eventually. Well, that time is today!

So, during this competition, you’ll have to compete in one of these games called [WINTER RUN] OR [Mountain Dash 500], where you’ll try to reach the end in the shortest possible time while recording your playthrough in the process! Both of these games are on different servers, and what you pick may impact the difficulty of the run, but the rewards stay the same (read more below). However you reach the end also doesn’t matter: is it through the obvious path or something far more interesting? You’ll stumble upon the best way yourself.

Rules & Notices

1. The entry

• You should pick one of these games ( WWW: [WINTER RUN] or BR: [Mountain Dash 500] ) to speedrun, but you can’t do both nor participate in both servers.

• You must submit your entry in the form below for it to be considered.

• The video must be submitted between February 3rd and February 9th (Time Zone: GMT+00 London) - We won’t accept any entries submitted before or after these dates.

2. The video

• You must record your playthrough of reaching the end in the shortest possible time - We will not accept any screenshots and/or GIFs!

• The video must contain the 1-2 minutes before your best run. This means that the final run should be at the end of the video.

• In the video, your name should be displayed in some way. You can show this before your best run by sending a “Said” message, opening up the leaderboard, or respawning. This is so that we can correctly verify the integrity of the entry.

• The video can’t contain any post-production effects other than background music. This means that your video must not have any “cuts” or “splices”.

• The video can’t be edited to only contain a part of the screen. The video must show the full screen of your playthrough, which means that the timer, the chat and everything else should be displayed.

• The video should be posted on YouTube and marked as unlisted - this is so that other people don’t find out about your strategy!

• Multiple submissions are fine (if you want to retry), but only one entry will be considered. However, if you already submitted the other entry through the form, you’ll have to delete it from YouTube and leave the final entry in place (so we don’t get confused in the voting process).

Once you’ve recorded your best run, upload the video to YouTube using the tag #KoGaMaSpeedrunCompetition2025.

Make sure to leave a link to your KoGaMa account in your video’s description and the form below, only one account per participant will be accepted!

If you participated in either of the servers, but wish for the rewards to be given on a different server, please link the account you wish us to transfer it to in the video’s description and the form below as well - That’ll let us know exactly which account you’d like to be awarded on.

PLEASE NOTE: We will only transfer rewards from one server to another if the linked account you wish us to transfer it to is yours. The accounts should clearly state your ownership (for example, the names from both servers match, exclusive shared badges like KoGaFriend), or some other forms of verification. If the names of the accounts do not match and there are no other public verification methods, you’ll have to send video proof proving your ownership in the form above (such as if the accounts have the same email and so on). Otherwise, rewards won’t be transferred. If you have any questions regarding this, or if you’re unsure the video correctly proves your ownership, please inquire more on Modmail in [KoGaMa’s Discord Server].

NOTE: If you encounter lag in any of the games, consider lowering the graphics as much as possible. This could increase your FPS (Frames Per Second), which is crucial for this competition!

Note that if we spot any attempts at cheating or manipulation of the video, your entry will be disqualified and this could result in you being blacklisted from participating in any future competitions & events (depending on the severity and amount of attempts).

• 2nd Place: 500 GOLD + 5000 XP + Speedrun Silver Winner Badge
• 3rd Place: 250 GOLD + 2500 XP + Speedrun Bronze Winner Badge

Aside from the above, some honorable mentions will also get 100 GOLD and 1000 XP! If you noticed, we are also including XP this time around!

After the final deadline, the panel of KoGaMa judges will decide on our lucky winners, and they’ll be announced on February 14th.
