Patch Notes
We recently had a new release earlier this week, comprising new quality-of-life additions & changes for build mode, plus some tweaks:
Role Indicator
Now, your project role in editor mode is shown in the top left corner ("Owner" or "Editor").
Off-Screen Indicators
These indicators show where other players are located when editing games together. On top of that, it also displays that player's role and the distance to that player in meters. So now you should no longer encounter the issue of trying to find or guide your friends to a certain area while editing.
Background for Editing Tools
In some cases, it was hard to see which tool was in use for the new tool UI. We added a background element that allows them to be seen clearly. (The tool UIs may also be subject to change.)
Other Tweaks
- The indent of editor mode icons has been increased. This means that they appear closer to the middle of the screen. You should see this more with the bottom right icons and the level icon.
- The player leaderboard icon's size (located at the bottom right corner) has been made consistent with the other icons.
- The elite icons for "Change Cube Material" and "Theme Options" have been removed for quality purposes.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where tourist names are not translated and are always in English. This fix required some help from the translation team to write translations before the tourist names are properly shown as translated, but this fix allows for that to happen.
- Fixed an issue where blocks could get strange shadow lines on their sides.
- Fixed an issue where the edit cursor on blocks did not highlight the correct edge when aiming at an edge.
- Fixed an issue where projectiles would sometimes not hit when shooting at others running away from you.
- Fixed an issue where a projectile you shot did not register unless you were actively looking at the target when the projectile hit.
- Fixed an issue with the materials menu that did not allow switching pages from the first page.
- And finally, fixed an issue where edits to avatars in the avatar editor was not saved properly.
Developer's note: We're currently working on a mix of both smaller and larger projects at the moment, this includes iterating on existing UI & game functions. So you may encounter some more changes to already existing features.
